Coming Out of Past Hurts

Psalms 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds. NKJ

This verse is a comforting declaration of God's compassion and restorative power, specifically highlighting his ability to mend those who are suffering emotionally and spiritually.

"He heals the brokenhearted": This portion of scripture shows us God's ability to restore us whether it’s emotional and or spiritual. It shows the comfort and healing God will give to those who are grieving, depressed, or experiencing emotional pain.

"and binds up their wounds”: This descriptive of binding up wounds signifies God's care and provision for those who are hurting. It suggests that God not only heals the pain but also addresses the wounds and circumstances that caused the brokenness.

This scripture is often used to offer hope and encouragement to those who are struggling with past hurts and brokenness, reminding us that God is our present help. Psalms 147:3 speaks of God's compassion and healing power. Be encouraged. God is with you no matter the situation.

Pray this prayer with me:

"God Father, I come before you with my heart burdened by past hurts. I acknowledge the pain I have carried and the wounds that I’m holding on to. Please release your healing touch to mend my brokenness. Fill me with your peace and comfort, and help me to let go of the anger, resentment, and bitterness that have held me captive. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Scott is extensively trained, and is certified through the Church of God Cleveland, TN with a Ministerial Internship Program Certification, Ordained Minister License, Girls Ministries Master Certificate, Executive Leadership Program Certification, an earned  Bachelor and Master degree in Religious Studies and she is also a Certified Chaplain.
